"While Walking in a Flowering Grove" written by Lily Jones

Updated: Mar 21, 2019

God is nowhere

God is nowhere

He has blue skin

Frozen so cold, no fire could melt it

Frozen so cold, no warmth could dissolve it

She is but a cowherd

Brown skin

Like earth and love and kindness

Incompatible with something as cold as

Him

Yet their love was not just a fire, it was an

Arson

Their love was not just a star, it was a

Nebula, silently exploding

It was the sand breathing across the desert

The sun glinting off glass

The rain tumbling down onto souls who can't

Speak

He is God in a world without God

And she is his savior

His God

God is nowhere

God is nowhere
