Philip Malazarte
Boredom is the bane of my existence. Especially in times like these. The hours of the day
seemed to have been stretched to last an eternity. I pass time doing random things around the house. I find myself writing stories, or cooking, or reading books, or working out, all without thinking about actually doing them. I watch the clock as the second hand moves like a spoon through honey. The hands of time move slower and slower, tick after agonizing tick.
But something we don’t realize is that we are making history. The seniors in high school right now are entering a world unknown. The future is one big question mark. That’s still taking time to sink in. We are witnessing something that will affect the future of this country, and the world for decades to come. Life will never be the same after this, and it may never return to normal. But we know one thing for sure. We will come out of this stronger. Our generation has grown soft and complacent, pampered like royalty. Technology has spoiled us. Whether we want to admit it or not. But we will become stronger. We have to. Good luck to seniors who are entering the real world. Don’t blindly follow. Become a leader. Become the example future generations use to inspire their children. Be a good person.
