From time to time, we all get a little down, maybe even a little depressed. Maybe we are feeling overwhelmed, feel bad because we’re not doing well with our goals, or maybe we don't even know why. There are many reasons for feeling down, and I’m not qualified to discuss all of them, their implications, or clinical treatment. What I can talk about are some little things that might work for you:
Listen to music: listening to upbeat music can help lift your mood as well as helping you move your mindset, so put on some sick beats!
Do something that makes you happy: doing things such as drawing, reading, or playing with your pet whatever little things make you happy can really be useful to your mood.
Shower or groom yourself: I know this can be hard especially when you are sad, but it is important and can make you feel refreshed and renewed.
Go outside: fresh air can be helpful and being around plants have been proven to improve your mood, so going outside for just 30 seconds can make you feel better.
Do a simple task: doing something easy like making your bed or packing your backpack for the next day could fill you with a feeling of aclplishemnt and help push you to a better mindset.
Talk to someone you trust:
Move around:
Write something:
Clean your aria:
Also remember it’s ok to be sad sometimes. Not everyone is happy all the time, as long as you’re not sad and depressed for an extended period of time, sadness can be useful to help you figure out your needs and boundaries.
